I normally do not get into these kinds of conversations; having promised myself that I am never going to get into an argument with someone who believes that the earth is flat.
Do you think Gov. Schwarzenegger meant to hide the F-bomb in his letter to a lawmaker?

I love it!! There's no question that he did it intentionally; he clearly had to go out of the way to include some of the key words, such as "unnecessary" in the final line. Hey, if you don't have a sense of humor ---- well, just read the left side of Arnie's letter!!

Athiests do not believe that "nothing exists". We believe that a thinking, caring, personal, intervening god does not exist. The universe does not require a "higher power" to exist any more than your "god" needs a higher power to exist. It is an infinite regression.

1) Evolution dictates that only one species will occupy a given niche. 2) I don't know. Clearly, the only possibility is that god must have done it.

I am a mature adult (which does not necessasrily mean that I am in my 80s). Not only that, I am intelligent, thoughtful and care about the things that impact my life.

You are absolutely correct. I have had similar problems with other (although less emotionally charged) issues. The people who write these things need a good editor.
